CCICED established the Roundtable mechanism since 2008, which is held annually to share CCICED policy study outcomes with local government, and discuss the hotspot topics and urgent issues on environment and development from home and abroad. As a pioneer in the reform and opening-up, Shenzhen has been renowned as a center of innovation. With 40 years of development, Shenzhen has accumulated rich experiences in green innovation, and will serve as an important growth engine for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

CCICED 2020 Roundtable is themed as Innovative Cities and Greater Bay Area Green Development, and aims to leverage the research findings of CCICED Special Policy Studies on green urbanization, climate change, ocean, and major green technologies. The objective of the meeting is to work with the local government to identify policy and technology demands for climate-smart cities and green development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and share matured experiences and best practices in China and abroad.
