Zhou Shengxian, MEP Minister and Executive Vice Chairperson of China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED), met in Beijing on November 14 with Ms. Biggs, President of Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and also Executive Vice Chairperson of the Council. The two sides had talks on matters about the Council's 2011 annual general meeting. Zhou extended sincere gratitude to CIDA as the biggest contributor and supporter to the Council. And Ms. Biggs spoke highly of the Council's achievement in the past two decades and said CIDA is ready to keep close contacts with China, paving the way for the fifth phase of the Council.
