Environmental pollution and ecological degradation generate increasingly serious impact on social development. Meanwhile, as China is in the critical development transformation period, improving people’s livelihood, safeguarding the rights and interests of the public, and strengthening social management and innovation will be major national strategies in a future period of time. Protecting environment, studying social development, and carefully surveying and recognizing the highlighted and urgent problems existing in China’s current and future environment and society are of great significance for proposing foresight, strategic and practicable policy suggestions and driving ecological civilization so as to build a well-off society and ensure social stability and long-term peace of the country.
Centering on the AGM theme, attendees licensed result reports about the policy research projects: "Environmental Protection and Social Development", "Sustainable Consumption and Green Development", " Media and Public Participation Policies on Promoting China’s Green Development", " Corporate Social Responsibility in Green Development", and "Promoting Urban Green Travel".
